Murder in the Cevennes
Synopsis
After spending 10 years in Paris honing her skills as a chef, Laura Fanton returns to her hometown in the mountainous Cévennes region of France with the goal of transforming her family home and property into a hotel. She was raised by her grandfather following the death of her parents. Due to negative rumors about her family in the small village, her grandfather moved her away at a young age. Upon returning, Laura finds that the rumors still persist and senses that she is unwelcome, though no one will explain why. Shortly after her return, two of her closest friends are brutally murdered, and Laura herself becomes a target of harassment. It becomes clear that someone wants her out of the picture. As she begins to investigate, she uncovers some disturbing truths.
