Synopsis
This fact-based story follows the controversial conviction of Dr. Sam Sheppard (played by Peter Strauss) for the murder of his wife in Cleveland. The narrative begins with his conviction and focuses on the efforts of his son (portrayed by Henry Czerny) forty years later to uncover evidence proving his father's innocence in the crime. The story served as the basis for the film and television series *The Fugitive*.
