Synopsis

Aadid recounts his life in seven minutes. He is a young Arabic-speaking man working the night shift at a laundromat and dry cleaners in an unspecified location in the United States. After 9/11, the business began washing U.S. flags for free, receiving about six or seven each day. He mentions Napoleon’s two wives—Marie Louise, for an heir, and Josephine, for love. Aadid sees a parallel in his feelings for Adela, his coworker, whom he likens to Josephine. The film shows Aadid and Adela hand-washing the flags, drying and folding them. They dance and stand side by side outside the laundromat, watching the dawn. The question lingers: will this companionship develop into something more?

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 9

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
