Synopsis
“My Mother's Idea” is a unique and compelling documentary that chronicles the lives of two dancers and their teachers at one of the most renowned ballet schools in the country. Director Maria Finitzo uses archival footage and interviews with family and former students, revealing the power the teachers had, and the profound impact their teaching – about dance and life – had on the lives of their students.
