Synopsis

In southern Peru, one of humanity's greatest mysteries lies etched into the desert sands: thousands of giant shapes carved into the arid landscape. Known as the Nasca Lines, these geometric and animal-like patterns crisscross the pampas, forming a vast enigmatic puzzle. More than 15,000 figures have been identified, raising questions about their creators and purpose. Theories have ranged from ancient racetracks to alien landing strips or a large-scale astronomical calendar. Some have even speculated a connection between the lines and the discovery of numerous severed human heads. After decades of uncertainty, modern archaeology may be on the verge of uncovering the truth. Excavations in the surrounding mountains are revealing new clues about the people who created the lines and their reasons. A long-vanished culture known as the Nasca once flourished in the region between 200 BC and 700 AD. Faced with a harsh environment, they resorted to extreme measures to survive.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 5

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
