The Kenyan film 'Nawi: Dear Future Me' won five awards at the 14th Kalasha International Film and TV Awards, including best film and best lead actress. The film, set in Kenya's Turkana region, follows a gifted girl fighting child marriage to pursue education. It was Kenya's entry for the 2025 Oscars and features Michelle Lemuya Ikeny in the lead role.
