Neighbour Abdi
Synopsis
Somali-born Abdi is a furniture designer and support worker who, with the help of his neighbor and filmmaker Douwe, reenacts key moments from his life, which have been shaped by war and criminality. Through playful reconstructions in a special effects studio, Abdi and Douwe undertake a candid and investigative journey into a painful history, with a focus on the creative process throughout.
