Synopsis
Jonas (Benno Fürmann) and Marit (Maja Schöne) are in an unconventional relationship. They moved from Cologne to Berlin after Marit secured a lucrative job there, which left Jonas temporarily unemployed—though he still has to manage childcare and household responsibilities. Communication, openness, honesty, and making music together form the foundation of their family life, where each member is free to pursue their own interests while feeling at home. The parents see themselves as lifelong companions to their children. This modern family dynamic is challenged when the couple faces a groundbreaking agreement after 14 years together—they do not want to lose what they have now, but neither are they willing to completely forgo their sexual needs for the sake of domestic harmony.
