Synopsis
After being dumped by her boyfriend, Erin's romantic life reaches a low point when her domineering mother places an embarrassing ad in the "personals" section of a local newspaper in an attempt to help her find a partner. Erin initially feels disgusted but gradually becomes curious as she embarks on a series of awkward and comical dates in search of the right guy. Meanwhile, Alan, a lonely former plumber, is struggling to find meaningful work, and despite several near encounters, he repeatedly misses the opportunity to meet Erin.
