Synopsis

This classic war film features George Peppard and Michael York in a tense narrative involving danger, espionage, and a critical secret that could affect the lives of millions. U.S. Officer Colonel Hugh Kelso has crucial knowledge about the upcoming and highly classified D-Day Invasion. After he washes ashore behind enemy lines, Allied Forces special agents Harry Martineau and Sara Drayton are tasked with a covert rescue mission to either save his life or eliminate him before the Germans can obtain the vital information he carries. Joining them are an Italian naval officer and a Jewish actor who has become a German paratrooper, as the agents undertake a high-stakes operation with a surprising twist.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 20

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
