Synopsis
When Xaver Reber, presumed lost in Argentina for 50 years, unexpectedly appears at his children's doorstep—penniless, without pension or health insurance and carrying only his toothbrush—siblings Mareike, Dietrich, and Felicitas Reber are stunned. Their attempts to send him to social welfare, a retirement home, or a highway service station all fail, forcing Xaver to move from one child's home to another, disrupting their lives, relationships, and work. As the siblings navigate their father's return, they begin to see their own lives in a new light, realizing that Xaver may not be the biggest challenge they face.
