NYC: Tornado Terror
Synopsis
A mysterious atmospheric disturbance triggers a series of completely unpredictable and destructive tornadoes. Rookie firefighter Brian Flynn becomes trapped in the underground sewer system with his girlfriend, Deputy Mayor James "Jim" Lawrence, and climatologist Dr. Cassie Lawrence's niece, Lori. New York Mayor Leonardo initially downplays the phenomenon, viewing it as a threat to his re-election, and the alert level remains insufficient for too long. Unusual lightning within the tornadoes introduces new and extreme dangers. The Lawrences, along with maverick aeronautics expert Dr. Lars Liggenhorn, develop a potential solution involving rocket deployment, but NASA's Dr. Quinn rejects the plan in favor of the conventional use of silver iodide.
