Synopsis
Following the coup d'état on September 12, 1980, a married couple wanted for political crimes decide to flee the country. However, their children become the main obstacle to their escape. Before leaving, the couple searches for a safe place to leave their children. They ultimately choose Mehtap Anne's home, which they consider the "safest place." Mehtap, a former prostitute, runs an "Emanetçi Anne" house where she cares for the children of other prostitutes who continue working in the trade after she left it. Some time later, after the couple has fled abroad, they send an Italian girl to Turkey to retrieve their children. The Italian girl, tasked with taking the child left with Mehtap Anne and returning it to its parents, becomes entangled in a series of unexpected events.
