Synopsis
In *Ode to the Dawn of Man*, German filmmaker Werner Herzog provides an insight into the creation of the score for his earlier documentary *Cave of Forgotten Dreams*. The film features footage and interviews with composer Ernst Reijseger and pianist Harmen Fraanje, detailing the process of composing the music used in Herzog’s documentary about the 32,000-year-old Chauvet caves, which contain the earliest known pictorial works of humankind. *Ode to the Dawn of Man* explores the collaborative effort behind the film's music, involving the musicians, Reijseger, and Herzog himself. –iTunes
