Synopsis

In the year 2056, Europe faces a future shaped by widespread unemployment, with 400 million people out of work. Gabe, one of them, wins a spot in the Grand Lottery, granting him the rare opportunity of a job. On July 37 (a date reflecting the altered calendar of the era), he calls Susanna, his girlfriend, who had recently attempted to end their relationship. He tells her he has a surprise and arranges to meet her in 30 minutes. However, the day quickly deteriorates: Gabe is behind on his rent and has maxed out his universal credit card. His apartment's security system, controlled by a computer, prevents him from leaving. He calls emergency services, but the response is provided by Filipe, a sixth-generation humanoid, who shows little sympathy. As the situation worsens, Gabe wonders if he will lose his chance at good fortune entirely. Just then, Susanna arrives at his door, offering the possibility of a rescue and a return to the perfect day he had envisioned.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 17

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
