Synopsis
The film follows individuals whose lives revolve around theft and are marked by cycles of addiction and despair. Director Jon Alpert documents the lives of three professional criminals over the course of a year, using hidden-camera footage to capture real-time thefts. The documentary provides an unfiltered look at the impact of so-called "petty" crimes on American society.
