Werner, now 45, still enjoys dressing stylishly and maintaining a reputation as a womanizer. He often ends up in romantic encounters with female guests at the hostel where he temporarily works. However, he is gradually learning to take on more responsibility. At 18, he and his former girlfriend Tine had a daughter named Julia, who is now a mother herself. When Julia needs a babysitter, she turns to Werner, who reluctantly agrees. He soon discovers that this new role is unexpectedly beneficial, as taking his granddaughter to the playground makes him popular with the women there. He is particularly drawn to Kathie, who brings her young son Finn. To avoid revealing his status as a grandfather, he tells her he is Zora's father. To Julia's surprise and delight, Werner now eagerly volunteers to babysit Zora as often as possible.
