Synopsis
A long-standing history of desire and resource extraction in the remote Canadian north is reflected in the urge to clear a winter valley of permanent shadow and search for gold in alluvial gravel. A portrait of the town emerges through the presence of cancaneers, curlers, smelters, former city officials, and a striking mirrored disc perched on a cliffside. The film was shot on location in Dawson City, Yukon Territory.
