Synopsis
In 1936, as villages across Palestine rise against British colonial rule, Yusuf moves between his rural home and the vibrant, restless atmosphere of Jerusalem, yearning for a future beyond the escalating unrest. History, however, is relentless. With increasing numbers of Jewish immigrants fleeing antisemitism in Europe and some arriving with Zionist-colonial intentions, and the Palestinian population uniting in what becomes the largest and longest uprising against Britain’s 30-year rule, tensions mount, pushing all sides toward an inevitable confrontation that marks a pivotal moment for the British Empire and the future of the region.
