Synopsis
A German diving instructor, Tom Broder, is captivated by the natural beauty of Malaysia and becomes involved with Sarifah Bt. Ismail, a courageous Malaysian biologist and environmentalist who is working to stop an unscrupulous hotel owner from building a resort on a nature reserve that serves as a sanctuary for endangered turtles. When Tom's elder brother, Kai, and his family unexpectedly arrive, Tom is forced to confront his past. His brother is married to the woman Tom once loved, who ultimately chose Kai over him, and the two brothers have not spoken since. Kai now insists on reconciling with Tom, unaware that he is deeply in debt and planning to fake his death in Malaysia in order to start a new life.
