Payback

Kathryn runs a restaurant, but one night she calls the police after noticing a suspicious man waiting in his car. She witnesses one of the three responding officers, Kaleen, assault the man with batons and kick him. Following advice from Jack, a police internal investigator, she testifies in court, leading to Kaleen being suspended and denied any promotion for the remainder of his career. In retaliation, Kaleen begins targeting Kathryn, resulting in her receiving strange phone calls, her son being arrested for murder, and her husband, a teacher, facing threats to his career through investigations into his record. Only Kathryn, her family, and Jack stand in the way of Kaleen's vengeful plans, which he carries out using the law and his connections within the police force.
