Synopsis
Natalie Holland, a book editor from Portland, has once again chosen the wrong romantic partner—an underachieving man. As her personal and professional life stagnates, she accepts a job offer from her friend Avery Goldstein, a publisher, and relocates to Los Angeles. Struggling to adapt to the city's fast-paced and superficial culture, Natalie finds herself increasingly out of place. Her challenges intensify when she discovers that her new role involves editing the latest romance novel by Beverly Wilcox, a bestselling author known for her power, glamour, and intimidating presence, often compared to the character from *The Devil Wears Prada*.
