Perry Mason: The Case of the Scandalous Scoundrel

Perry is involved in a lawsuit against a tabloid newspaper that is publishing a story about a romantic affair between him and Della. The newspaper's editor maintains "dirt" files on an Army General, his banker, and other "clients." At a party, these individuals make thinly veiled verbal threats against him. The person who harbors the most intense hatred for the editor is a female reporter, recently fired for attempting to write a serious story. She confronts him, and shortly afterward, the editor is discovered floating in his pool, having been shot. The reporter is arrested for the murder. Perry, who has a personal interest in the case, teams up with Della and Paul to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, the other suspects are eager to see the case resolved and are willing to take extreme measures to conceal their pasts and protect their secrets.
