Orphaned boy Pete teams up with a skeptical forest ranger to prove that his mysterious forest-dwelling dragon is real, before the town’s lumber interests destroy their hidden sanctuary.

Synopsis
For years, Mr. Meacham, an elderly wood carver, has entertained local children with stories of a fierce dragon living deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. His daughter, Grace, a forest ranger, dismisses these as mere tall tales—until she meets Pete, a 10-year-old boy with no known family or home who claims to live in the woods with a giant green dragon named Elliott. Pete’s descriptions of Elliott closely match the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. Determined to uncover the truth, Grace teams up with Natalie, an 11-year-old girl whose father, Jack, owns the local lumber mill, to find out where Pete came from, where he belongs, and whether the dragon is real.
