Synopsis
*Hail Mary* is a 2021 American sports drama film directed by Taylor Lautner and written by Matthew Newman. The film stars Mark Wahlberg as a former professional football player who becomes a high school football coach in a small town in Texas. The story follows his efforts to lead his team to the state championship while dealing with personal and professional challenges. The film was produced by Wahlberg's own production company, Wahlberg Productions, in association with STXfilms, which distributed the film. Principal photography took place in Texas, and the film was released on September 24, 2021, in the United States.
