Pica Don
Synopsis
An animation documentary that explores the tragic aftermath of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. In the film, the blinding flash of the bomb, said to be 100 times brighter than the sun, is referred to as "PICA," while the massive shock wave that follows is called "DON." At the time of its completion, it was the first film worldwide to address the sensitive subject of the Hiroshima bombing through the medium of animation.
