Rebellious New Yorker April scrambles to pull off a chaotic Thanksgiving dinner for her estranged, terminal‑ill family, battling kitchen disasters and unresolved resentments before the holiday—and her mother's fate—spirals out of control.

Synopsis
April Burns, a quirky and rebellious young woman, lives with her boyfriend in a modest New York City apartment, far removed from her emotionally distant family. After learning that her mother has been diagnosed with a fatal form of breast cancer, April invites her family to spend Thanksgiving with her. As her father faces challenges in driving the family into the city, April, who is not an experienced cook, encounters difficulties in the kitchen and is forced to seek assistance from a neighbor.
