Synopsis

The Little Wooden Toy tells the story of a wooden boy who dreams of becoming real. When a spark of magic escapes from the Blue Fairy's home and enters the chimney of toy maker Gepetto's house, it brings a small log to life. After Gepetto's toys stop selling well, he decides to make a toy for himself using the same log. His wooden puppet is soon completed and immediately comes to life, getting into all sorts of trouble. With the help of a talking cricket and the Blue Fairy, Pinocchio learns what he must do to fulfill his wish of becoming a real boy. Written by Frederick Irizarry.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 9

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
