Pluto's Dream House
Synopsis
In this short film, Mickey Mouse is preparing to build a doghouse for Pluto when the latter unearths a magic lamp that speaks in African-American vernacular. The lamp offers to fulfill Mickey's wishes. As the first request, Mickey asks for a doghouse, and the lamp brings tools such as a saw, planer, and paintbrush to life, allowing them to construct a magnificent doghouse. For the second wish, Mickey asks the lamp to give Pluto a bath. However, complications arise when Pluto accidentally breaks Mickey's radio, causing it to emit conflicting messages. The lamp interprets all the voices as Mickey's and follows each command in turn. As a result, Pluto is rolled with a rolling pin, punched with boxing gloves, frozen in aspic, and nearly sliced into thin pieces before the situation resolves in a happy ending.
