Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!
Synopsis
Ash Ketchum wakes up late one morning after breaking his alarm clock in his sleep. He arrives at Professor Oak's lab but is informed that the three starter Pokémon—Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander—have already been chosen by other trainers who arrived on time. Oak then reveals that he has one remaining Pokémon, an Electric-type named Pikachu. Despite Pikachu's volatile and feisty nature, as well as its refusal to enter a Poké Ball, Ash happily accepts it as his partner for his journey.
