Synopsis
*Poster Girl* follows the life of Robynn Murray, an all-American high school cheerleader who became a decorated machine gunner during the Iraq War and was featured on the cover of Army Magazine as a symbol of women in combat. After returning home, Murray faces a new challenge as she begins to show the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), causing her tough exterior to crack. Directed by first-time filmmaker Sara Nesson, the documentary chronicles Murray's two-year journey as she uses art and poetry to navigate self-discovery and seek redemption.
