Presumed Dead
Synopsis
Before the release of a famous crime novelist's first new book in years, his protégé disappears. The incident raises questions: is it an elaborate publicity stunt, or did the author, desperate for material, create his own sinister inspiration? Despite his clever defense during a trial that propelled his book to best-seller status, Detective Cooper suspects the latter. She is determined to distinguish fiction from reality, but as she delves deeper into the story, the plot becomes increasingly twisted.
