Prison of Secrets

Lynn Schaffer's repeated pattern of irresponsible behavior culminates in her being fired from her job. When offered a plea-bargain by her employer, she refuses, leading to her conviction and the maximum sentence of 10 years in a women's prison. Her model husband, Larry, who was unaware of her reckless actions, is left to manage her appeal, their household, and their spoiled daughter, who now feels neglected. The prison environment is dominated by inmates with drug-related or prostitution backgrounds, allowing corrupt corrections officer Ed Crang and his colleagues to operate an informal system of favors. Resistance from inmates often results in harsher treatment. Meanwhile, Larry, who hosts a radio show, works to gather evidence in hopes of overturning the conviction.
