Synopsis
Phillip Filmore is a 15‑year‑old who becomes infatuated with Nicole Mallow, a French housekeeper and sitter hired to look after him while his father is away on a business trip for the summer. Lester Lewis, the family’s chauffeur, exploits Phillip’s crush by arranging for Nicole to seduce the teenager and then involves her in a scheme to fake her own death as part of a blackmail plot intended to drain Phillip’s trust fund.

Cinemas keep roughly half of every ticket sold, and a wide release’s marketing often costs about as much again as the film — so a movie needs to gross around 2.5× its production budget just to break even theatrically.
