Synopsis
Detective Suguro is staying at a luxurious hotel in Wakayama. Also present at the hotel is the Hondo family, led by the wealthy widow Mrs. Hondo, who rules over her children with an iron fist, instilling fear and obedience. During a hike to a local shrine, a tragedy occurs—Mrs. Hondo, who was supposed to be resting, is found dead. Police Chief Kawahara Daisaku requests Suguro's assistance in investigating the circumstances of Mrs. Hondo’s death.
