Synopsis
"Prosecuting Casey Anthony" presents Florida prosecutor Jeff Ashton's account of the true crime case that captivated and then shocked the nation when Casey Anthony was acquitted of killing her daughter, Caylee, despite what many considered overwhelming evidence of her guilt. The film is told from Ashton's perspective and provides a behind-the-scenes look at the investigation into Caylee's death and the subsequent trial, offering new insight into the many questions surrounding the two-year-old girl's fate, how Ashton and his fellow prosecutors built their case, and why a woman so widely viewed with suspicion was ultimately found innocent.
