Pulse of Life
Synopsis
If Julie had heeded the warnings of the doctors, her parents, and others, she might have abandoned all her dreams, as the disease was beginning to threaten her lungs. Instead, the sixteen-year-old lived life to the fullest, doing as she pleased. She became deeply involved with a first love her own age and soon discovered she was pregnant, deciding to keep the child. She concealed her pregnancy from her parents and the doctors, determined to face whatever came next. Julie defied the expectations of the adult world, driven by a conviction that serves as a lesson: because life can be short, it must be lived intensely.
