Racing for Time
Synopsis
Cleveland "Stack" Stackhouse is a guard at the Texas Correctional Youth Authority who observes the recurring patterns of harmful decisions and racial conflicts among female juvenile offenders and takes action to address them. He brings together African-American, Latina, and Caucasian teens and forms a multiracial track team within the prison. Participation in Stack's track team helps reduce racial divisions among the girls and encourages them to make positive changes in their lives.
