Ration Bored
Synopsis
A road sign questions, "Is this trip really necessary?" Woody Woodpecker replies, "Sure, it's necessary. I'm a necessary evil." Demonstrating little concern for patriotic duty, Woody is unaware of ration books when he stops at a gas station for a refill. The attendant, thinking Woody is mocking him, takes a large mallet and smashes him and his car into a junkyard several miles away. Fortunately, some of the discarded cars still contain a bit of gasoline. Woody uses a rubber hose to siphon fuel from them. Unfortunately, one of the cars he chooses is brand new and happens to be a police car. Woody soon finds himself in conflict with a bulldog police officer.
