Synopsis
"REM" is an Afrikaans science fiction drama centered on Dehan, a father grieving the death of his wife, Lena, in a car accident that left their young son, Erich, unharmed. Dehan becomes fixated on Lena's memory through the use of a high-tech, dream-altering device called the REM. His growing obsession with the device strains his relationship with Erich, as he struggles to reconnect with his son. Dehan faces a critical choice: to confront his grief and rebuild his bond with Erich, or to retreat further into his fantasy world, risking a complete detachment from reality and his son.
