Synopsis
Lauren Caster's debut feature film, Rhythm Is a Dancer, will begin its theatrical run on July 10 via the Utopia imprint Circle Collective. The film, which premiered at the Austin Film Festival last fall, is directed, written, produced, and stars Caster. It is based on her personal experiences as the daughter of a lesbian mother. The film explores themes of identity and family, drawing from Caster's real-life story. The release marks a significant milestone for the filmmaker, who has been involved in every aspect of the production.
