Synopsis
This visually striking short film, set in the rural wheat belt of Western Australia, offers a candid look into the life of Ronan, a 14-year-old boy who has been bullied throughout his school life. The film's accurate and controversial depiction of the experience of being a bullying victim and its consequences is presented by director A.J. Carter in a distinctive, exposition-heavy format that uses very little dialogue. *Ronan's Escape* features arbitrary scenes rather than conventional storytelling, encouraging audiences to engage in discussion and interpretation of the scenes on a personal level while reflecting on their own experiences.
