Synopsis

Lovers Live is a concert film featuring Sade that includes nearly two hours of footage, 22 songs, and DVD bonus features. The concert, filmed at two Southern California locations in 2001, showcases the singer’s sultry, soulful sound, performed by a capable band and accompanied by evocative visuals and sound effects. The set includes nine songs from her Lovers Rock album, with "Slave Song" and "Immigrant" standing out as particularly moving. The performance is dramatic but not overly theatrical, and Sade, while not the world's greatest performer, is presented as an adult artist without the pop-princess image. The concert highlights Sade's musical evolution during her extended break from performing.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 5

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
