Saint Ralph

Synopsis
This Canadian comedy/drama, set in Hamilton, Ontario in 1954, follows the fictional story of Ralph (Adam Butcher), a wayward 9th grader secretly living on his own while his widowed, hospitalized mother remains in a coma. Frequently in trouble with Father Fitzpatrick (Gordon Pinsent), the principal of his all-boys Catholic school, Ralph is regarded as a joke by his peers until he decides to attempt a miracle—winning the Boston Marathon in hopes of saving his mother. Coached by Father Hibbert (Campbell Scott), a younger priest and former runner whose cynicism is challenged by the boy's hope, Ralph dedicates himself to the unlikely mission, facing naysayers and receiving support from various allies along the way.
