Salas u Malom Ritu
Synopsis
War reaches a small, secluded village in Vojvodina. German forces take a group of hostages through the village and, along the way, molest a young boy. In retaliation, the boy sets fire to the Germans' cornfield. An intelligent and shrewd Gestapo officer named Šicer arrives to investigate the incident. He remains unaware that he is dealing with a group of young boys, led by Milan and Vaso, and orders all the village men to be taken into custody. Šicer announces that one man will be executed each day unless the true culprit comes forward. The children then reach out to the partisans for help.
