Sechzehneichen
Synopsis
A young couple moves to a gated community named Sechzehneichen, where the wife, a creative photographer, soon becomes bored, and the husband joins a secret men's club. The other wives appear strangely conservative and shallow. The film serves as a thinly veiled take on *The Stepford Wives*, but lacks humor or atmosphere, instead relying on a sterile, unflinching, and dry seriousness that characterizes many German films and contributes to a generally unenjoyable viewing experience.
