Synopsis
Maya Vargas, a shop assistant manager at Value, seeks a promotion for her 43rd birthday. Although her résumé does not emphasize upper‑management experience, her record shows innovation, attentiveness to customers and measurable results. After the position is awarded to a college‑educated candidate, Vargas decides to demonstrate that practical knowledge can be as valuable as formal education on Madison Avenue.
