Second Chance
Synopsis
In *Outstanding Pool House*, a typical summer morning finds Shine preparing for school. A stylish and attractive girl, Shine carries a quiet sadness in her expression, a result of her parents' tragic death in a car accident six months earlier, which left her with only the family's pool house. Faced with the possibility of being placed in a foster home if no family member steps in, Shine is surprised when Feng, her uncle and a former billiards expert, returns to take care of her. Their relationship is strained, as Shine has little connection with Feng, who has fallen into a life of gambling, drinking, and smoking—habits she strongly dislikes. The film explores how the two must navigate their differences through the sport of billiards and rediscover the familial bond that connects them.
