Secret Summer
Synopsis
Appraiser Rachel (Lindsey Shaw) learns that her top client wants to buy out a small town’s beloved library to build a resort and spa on the land. Rachel is opposed to leaving New York City but loses the argument with her boss and ultimately agrees to go. She flies to California and visits the library for the first time, where she meets writer Jake (Derek Theler), who is researching the legend of Captain Black Bart’s hidden treasures for his next novel. Mrs. Archer (Rachel Ticotin), the librarian, hopes to save the library and encourages Jake to show Rachel its importance to the town. Jake, already busy with his research and looking after his niece, Hailey (Chiara Aurelia), and nephew, Noah (Max Page), for the summer, agrees to help. As Rachel learns about the library’s significance to the community, she must find a way to save it before it’s too late.
