Synopsis

In *Seeing Red*, three distinct elements run parallel, overlap, diverge, and interact in various ways to express the idea that a color, a melody, or a person can possess multiple characteristics that resist simple interpretation. One element is purely visual, another is highly verbal and minimally visual, and the third is purely musical. The film explores questions such as whether red is the color of a fire truck or a ruby, of rust or a rose, of blood or a brick. It also asks how fixed a melody is if it can be altered to the point of unrecognizability. The work further examines what is meant when someone "sees red"—what color is actually perceived, and what emotional or psychological aspect of passion is being expressed. It considers whether the red in question reflects an external view of injustice and greed or an internal reflection on personal limitations and failures.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 1

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
